What to Expect from Parallel Windsor

Parallel Windsor is a national celebration of disability lifestyle, which combines a family Festival of Inclusivity with a series of challenge events for everybody of all ages and abilities.

Festival of Inclusivity

The fully accessible festival offers a huge range of activities and entertainment:

  • Wellbeing and dance
  • Family entertainment

The Festival also includes a quiet space, sensory zone and family picnic area, supported by accessible facilities, on-site parking and medical provision.

Challenge events

There are 5 challenge events to choose from: 100m, 1K, 5K, 10K or the SuperSensory 1K. Walk, push or run – there are no cut off times. Mobility aids and assistance animals are welcome, where everybody can ‘Start Together, Finish Whenever’. Everybody who takes part receives a medal, t-shirt and goody bag.

How do I get to Parallel Windsor?

Jump on the train to Windsor & Eton Central station. Parallel Windsor is taking place in the grounds of the majestic Windsor Great Park and is staged on the iconic Long Walk.

Shuttle buses from / to Windsor & Eton Central station

A friendly and welcoming meet and greet service at the station is provided by The Rotary Club of Windsor St. George. There will be a free and accessible shuttle bus service running throughout the day between the station and event site.
