What to expect from Golowan Festival
Golowan is Penzance’s celebration of midsummer. A 10-day festival of arts, performances, culture, and parades. It’s also the UK’s second largest street festival.
The 2024 Golowan theme is ‘Together, We Shine’ and will celebrate all that is brilliant and inspirational about the Penzance community.
Highlights of the Festival include the Mazey Day Eve fireworks over the harbour (28 June) and Mazey Day itself (29 June), the centrepiece of the festival in which artists, schools and other community groups fill the streets with music and giant sculptures in a series of parades.
