Each year it costs £1,500 per mile to maintain the Coast Path’s 630 miles, 30,000 steps, 4,500 signs and 1,100 gates.
The Every Mile Matters campaign comprises 7 walks across May and June in some of the South West’s most beautiful locations, all accessible by public transport.
Each walk costs £20 per adult and £10 per child with all the money raised helping to care for the Coast Path.
- Sunday 2 June – North Devon: Barnstaple to Instow. Start at Barnstaple Station, return on 21 bus
- Sunday 9 June – Exmoor and Somerset: County Gate to Countisbury. Start and finish using the Exmoor Coaster bus
- Saturday 22 June – South Cornwall: Looe to Polperro. Start at Looe Station, return by 73/73A bus
- Sunday 23 June – South Devon: Paignton to Brixham. Start at Paignton Station, return on 12 bus
- Saturday 29 June – Jurassic Coast: Weymouth to Lodmoor/Osmington. Start at Weymouth Station, return by Jurassic Coaster bus
