When is the Dartmouth Royal Regatta?
This year, the Dartmouth Regatta will be taking place from 20 to 28 August.
What to expect at the Dartmouth Royal Regatta
Set against the backdrop of the beautiful town of Dartmouth and the River Dart, there’s so much to see and do at the annual regatta. With everything from rowing, sailing, swimming, tug of wars, and much more, you can easily fill your weekend with nautical fun in Devon.
There’s also lots of traditional family entertainment, stalls, live music, Morris dancers, fairground games and even a surf simulator! Everything you need for a perfect family day out.
In the evenings, experience an exciting programme of entertainment from live music and silent discos to fireworks.
How to get to the Dartmouth Royal Regatta
Getting to the Dartmouth Royal Regatta is easy. First, grab a train to Dartmouth Station with GWR. The Dartmouth through ticket includes a train ticket, steam train and ferry. Jump on the Dartmouth Steam Railway train from Paignton and then take the foot passenger ferry from Kingswear to Dartmouth. Terms apply.
Alternatively, you can travel with GWR to Totnes train station. From there, it’s a 45-minute bus ride to Dartmouth. Visit the Dartmouth Royal Regatta website to find out about the Park and Ride to the regatta.
