Opened on 27 May 2023, Reading Green Park is a new station situated on the Reading to Basingstoke line with services running every 30 minutes in each direction.
Improving transport links for the south of Reading
The new station provides improved sustainable travel options to and from the area for:
- Local residents travelling into Reading and Basingstoke town centres
- Employees at Green Park business park
- Fans attending matches at Reading Football Club
The station will also help to ease congestion on the A33 road and unlock growth potential in the south of Reading.
Facilities
The station includes:
- Two fully-accessible platforms
- An overbridge providing access to both platforms via stairs and lifts
- A bus interchange and cycle parking facilities
- Two car parks (managed by Reading Borough Council), including 12 blue badge spaces and drop-off parking
- A ticket hall, complete with toilets, ticket gates and ticket machines
- Live train departure screens
